Branding
Throughout my years as a designer, I have worked with a variety of clients to help design single logos, identity systems, and branding materials.
Izzy B Drilling Company is a female owned business based in Arkansas. It was important to the client that the brand fit into the industry well with others, but also wanted to highlight that it was female owned. I created the bee icon with a drill incorporated in the stinger.
You’re a Peach Baking Co. is a new bakery based in Russellville, AR. Right now, the business is working out of home and sells their baked goods online and at Farmers’ markets in the area. I was contacted to design the branding for the startup. The clients wanted a fun, authentic feel to the logo, so we went in a hand-drawn direction, but wanted to make sure it would still look clean in all applications. I have been able to work on several projects for the brand at this point, including conceptualizing their baked good packaging. I continue to serve the brand as their freelance social media manager.
VOR Media is a media firm based in Nashville, Tennessee.
Terratrack is a company that has found its niche in selling specialized heavy duty machinery. Each Terratrack lift is fitted with snowmobile-like treads that enable the all terrain promise of the company. These unique treads are so significant that they are represented in the company’s logo. The dynamic angled emblem paired with a totally custom type gives the Terratrack brand a very recognizable personality.Terratrack was created for a university branding class. We were given a list of business names and characteristics to choose from, and then had to build a full branding suite for the business. I chose Terratrack because it was a grittier business than I typically work with. I wanted to challenge myself to create designs that were sleek, but would also appeal to the gruff customer base.
Growing up, I had plenty of exposure to heavy duty equipment. My grandparents owned a cattle farm that I spent a large portion of my childhood at. Some of my first experiences driving were on a large tractor and a riding lawn mower. I wanted to channel these experiences into practical designs targeted to a consumer market I am familiar with.
Yrdbrd Outfitters is a lifestyle brand for the adventurer in all of us. The name stems from the term "yardbirds" referring to chickens kept at someone's home. These birds are usually kept within a fence and do not have a ton of freedom to roam. Yrdbrd defies this notion by encouraging customers to get out and explore outside of their normal bounds. The brand champions adventure, inclusivity, and self discovery.
Gateley Hill Gardens is a small wedding venue in Dardanelle, AR. The owner of the venue reached out to me to help her create a branding package. The logo is based off of the rounded window design on the chapel.
The Good Seed Society is a flower and seed vendor who grows and sells their own flowers. The owners reached out to me to help give the brand a fresh look. I wanted to incorporate lots of fun texture and for it to be heavily illustration based. We went through several different logo ideas which span a wide range of aesthetics. The clients landed on a brightly colored, fun color palette with a more hand drawn logo style. The flowers throughout are all resentative of the flowers the business grows and sells. This branding project was super fun to create and will hopefully help the small business grow.
River Valley Press is a concept local coffee shop. The store would sell coffee and baked goods, and would specifically serve local brews. RV Press would have a cool, relaxing atmosphere, so I chose emerald and neutrals to be the brand colors. The typography and overall aesthetic is inspired by the Art Deco era.
