Ouachita Baptist University
My alma mater, Ouachita Baptist University, has given me many opportunities to design for a wide audience. Throughout my time at school I have worked on four significant projects for the University: a 2021 vinyl wall mural for campus, the 2019 Christmas card, the 2018-2019 yearbook cover, and I am currently in the process of getting sets of Ouachita playing cards printed for the bookstore.
During the summer of 2021, I was asked to design a wall wrap mural for one of the blank hallways on campus. This was my first project for OBU as an alumna, so I was so excited to be able to give a little bit back to the place that has given me so much. I am proud of the education I received at Ouachita, and for the person I am today because of this school. Proud to say I am a Tiger for Life!
In October 2019, I was commissioned to create the official Christmas card for Ouachita Baptist University by the Office of the President. This card was printed over 5,000 times and sent to influential donors, alumni, prospective students and other Universities.
In February 2019, I was contacted to help create the cover of the award winning "Ouachitonian" annual. I was asked to create an image of one of our landmark buildings on campus, Cone-Bottoms Hall. I worked closely with the yearbook editor to create the illustration she dreamed of for the cover.
Above you will see mock up versions of a deck of Ouachita Baptist University themed playing cards. I designed these to challenge myself and to try and make something I have never tried before. I am in the process of getting these printed in real life where they will be distributed and sold through the University's bookstore.
